SUNSHINE THROUGH HIGH CLOUDS ONCE AGAIN, STILL COOL AND WINDY….
The weather has been like a broken record it seems for the
last few days. Today is once again featuring filtered sunshine
through high thin cirrus clouds along with a busy wind off the
chilly ocean.
The average speed for the day has been around 17mph with a peak
gust of 43 mph.
Despite the sun, the air remains chilly with readings generally
in the low to mid 50s.
The air is also quite dry with the dew point dropping below the
freezing mark late this morning. This dry air along with the
gusty wind is enhancing the fire risk once again today, but so
far we have not observed any smoke anywhere.
Visibility has been pretty decent today, holding at around 60
miles all day.
The high so far today is 54F, which is 11 degrees below the
normal maximum of 65F. The low since midnight is 39F, which
is 7 degrees below the normal minimum of 46F.
