WARMER AND DRY TODAY UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….

Today has been quite a nice spring day across the area. A mix
of sun and clouds has been the theme all day with temperatures
finally getting back to and even a bit above normal.

Temperatures have risen into the upper 60s early this afternoon
with a dew point holding in the mid 40s. This is a very
delightful combination for any outdoor activities.

The wind was light and variable all morning, even going calm at
times. However it has finally settled out of the southeast early
this afternoon and has increased a bit in speed. The average
speed so far for the day is only around 7mph. The peak gust so
far for the day is 20mph, which occurred right around noon.

Visibility has been decent today, topping out at around 70 miles
during the mid to late morning hours, however it has slipped a
bit this afternoon as haziness has increased, due mainly to
high amounts of pollen in the air. The haze actually has a bit
of a greenish tinge to it, which is typical of pollen induced
haziness.

The maximum temperature so far today is 68F degrees, which is
2 degrees above the normal high of 66F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 45F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the
normal low of 47F.
