BELOW NORMAL CHILL CONTINUES WITH OCCASIONAL RAIN….

Clouds continue to dominate with occasional light rain this
morning, becoming more showery in nature this afternoon. 0.21″
of rain fell overnight with an additional 0.02″ falling this
morning. So while not a ton of water is being measured, it’s
still nice to get some moisture into the ground after our long
dry stretch last month.

Temperatures remain on the cool side, albeit a tad warmer than
yesterday. We have reached the mid to upper 50s, but this is
still a good 15F degrees or so below what we’d expect in early
June.

The wind has been generally out of a northerly direction today,
but has been lighter than yesterday. The average speed for the
day has been around 9mph so far, with a peak gust of only around
20mph.

Visibility was limited this morning due to rain and drizzle,
but has improved markedly early this afternoon. We could only
see 10-15 miles this morning, but can see upwards to 70 miles
this afternoon, in between areas of showers.

The high temperature so far today is 58F, this is 14 degrees
below the normal maximum of 72F. The low since midnight is 47F,
this is 7 degrees below the normal minimum of 54F.
