MORNING CLOUDS GIVE WAY TO INCREASING SUNSHINE, ONCE AGAIN WARM
AND DRY….

Mid and high level cloud cover moved over the region through the
morning hours today, finally dissipating by early this afternoon
leaving us with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures have warmed into the mid to upper 70s, a bit cooler
than yesterday thanks to an onshore flow today. The dew point has
been hanging out generally in the low to mid 50s, but did dip into
the upper 40s for a time late this morning. Either way, this is
indicative of an absolutely delightful air mass is in place,
especially for this time of year.

As mentioned, the wind has become onshore with an average speed
for the day so far of around 11mph. The peak gust so far for the
day is 22mph, which occurred just after 9am this morning.

Visibility started the day around 65 miles, but the pine pollen
really started “clouding” the air during the mid morning hours.
This caused the visibility to drop to around 25-30 miles. The
clouds of pollen have dissipated, but the air is still on the
hazy side with the view holding around 25-30 miles early this
afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 78F degrees, which is
7 degrees above the normal high of 71F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 65F degrees, which is 11 degrees above the
normal low of 54F.
