A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS, WARM WITH DECREASING HUMIDITY LEVELS….
The sky has featured a mix of sun and clouds through the day with
a nice westerly breeze and lowering humidity levels. It has really
turned into a very fine day after the very humid weekend.
Temperatures didn’t really cool off much overnight with the low
only getting down to 70F (69.6F). Should this reading hold through
midnight tonight (unlikely), it would tie the record high minimum
for the date with 1909. Readings have warm into the upper 70s to
near 80F by early this afternoon. The dew point, which was around
70F early this morning, has dropped into the upper 50s early this
afternoon, making for a much more pleasant feel to the air today.
The wind has been on the busy side today averaging at around 15mph
for the day so far. The direction veered from the southwest to
west-northwest as a boundary moved through the area between 7-8am
this morning. The peak gust so far is 34mph, which occurred just
after midnight.
Visibility has been excellent today with the drier air mass moving
in. The view has been 60-70 miles since early this morning.
The maximum temperature so far today is 80F, which is 2 degrees
above the normal high of 78F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 70F, which is 10 degrees above the normal low of 60F.
