MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2024
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0407E
SUNSET:  1924E

INCREASING CLOUD COVER, BUT OVERALL A FAIRLY DECENT DAY AHEAD OF
AN EXPECTED HEATWAVE….

Sunshine ruled during the morning hours, however clouds are pushing
into the area early this afternoon as a weak disturbance aloft
pinwheels down on a northwest flow on the periphery of a large
upper level ridge building into the region.

Temperatures have warmed into the upper 70s to near 80, so all in
all, a very comfortable day. The dew point has been hanging out
in the upper 50s most of the day, finally reaching 60F at 1pm, so
for now, the humidity level isn’t too bad. Enjoy this air while it
lasts however, as big changes arrive by tomorrow.

The wind has been a bit busy today with an average speed of around
13mph so far for the day. The direction has been mainly south-
southwest. The peak gust so far is 28mph, which occurred just
before the 1pm observation.

Visibility has been limited most of the day due to haziness. The
view has been between 30-40 miles all day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 80 degrees, which is
4 degrees above the normal high of 76F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 56F, which is 2 degrees below the normal
low of 58F.
