The record low maximum temperature of 51F set on June 1, 2004,
will probably be surpassed today as our maximum through early
this afternoon is only 48F. The last times that the temperature
remained in the 40s in June were highs of 48F on June 7, 1982
and 47F on June 9, 1956.

Rainfall which began yesterday can down heavily at mid-afternoon
accumulating close to 0.3 inch in one hour (3-4PM EDT) included
a brief thunderstorm. The total by midnight (ASOS, manual not yet
available) was 0.84 inch.  An additional 0.14 inch accumulated by
7 A.M. ob time this morning.
