ANOTHER PLEASANT HIGH PRESSURE DAY ON TOP OF
GREAT BLUE HILL…

We had high pressure again making for another nice
day at Blue Hill Observatory. The pressure began to
drop mid-morning and the wind from the SW became
stronger than the light wind from yesterday with a
gust up to 21 MPH. The high temperature so far
today has been a slightly above normal 86F degrees.
This is 5 degrees above the daily normal of 81F.
Visibility was excellent at 80 miles all day with
a thin smoke layer along the horizon during the
morning observations. We had nice dry air and low
humidity today with dew points in the high 50’s.
So far July has been a warm dry month with only one
day of precipitation and temperatures 5.6 degrees
above normal.
