HOT AND HUMID WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY AT BLUE HILL….
Summer weather continues as we continue to have temperatures
above normal and high levels of humidity. At least we have mainly
sunny skies today unlike over the weekend when cloud cover
dominated.
The temperature has reached the low 90s here on the summit early
this afternoon. The dew point is a little lower today than yesterday
with values in the mid to upper 60s, but it’s still rather steamy
feeling out there.
Making matters a bit worse is the fact that there is very little
wind today. The average speed for the day so far is only around
5mph, and it even has gone calm at times. The peak gust so far
is 15mph, which occurred around 12:30pm.
Visibility has been limited today due to haziness, generally
in the 40-50 mile range through the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 91F, which is 10 degrees
above the normal high of 81F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 71F, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 63F.
