COOL DAY WITH HEAVY RAIN IN AFTERNOON
Temperatures fell from a high of 72F yesterday to 59F
at 7:00AM EST this morning. They have continued to
decrease throughout the day reaching a low of 55F by
1:00PM. The max. of 62F at midnight for today may tie
the record for today’s low maximum temperature.
Rain began in the early morning hours and has continued
through the early afternoon. It became heavy past noon
with a one hour total of approximately 0.40 in. from
12:00PM-1:00PM. The 6-hour total equalled 0.63 in at
1:00PM. This is already 0.50 in. above normal for today.
Winds speeds have also increased on Great Blue Hill.
Wind direction continues to be out of the east north-east
and east. A peak gust of 35 MPH was recorded after the
1:00PM observation.
