HUMID DAY WITH CLOUDY SKIES AND INTERMITTENT RAIN SHOWERS…

The overnight low of 71F is 8 degrees above the daily
normal of 63F. So far max temperatures have been close
to normal with a max of 79F so far today. This is 2
degrees below the daily normal of 81F degrees. The air
was very humid today with dew points in the low 70’s
throughout the day. With high humidity, visibility was
obscured today with a max of 20 miles by 1:00 P.M. The
intermittent rain showers began yesterday and we have
had a few showers so far today. Since 10:00 A.M. yesterday
we have measured 0.33 inches of rainfall. With the rain
showers the past couple days we are now 0.25 ins. of above
normal for precipitation for the month of July. Even though
the past couple of days have been below normal for temperature,
with a warm beginning, July is still running about 2 degrees
above normal for temperature. Wind from the south was moderate
today with frequent gust over 22 kts (25 MPH) and a peak gust
so far of 28 kts (32 MPH).
