MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN, A TOUCH OF SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING….

As a weak wave passed to the south of the area early this
morning, an area of light snow moved through, lasting a
little more than an hour. Only 0.1″ of snow was recorded
from this. As such, we remain with paltry snowfall totals
for not only the month, but for the season thus far. Much
to the disappointment (and in some cases the depression)
of snow lovers around the region, there really is no sign
of any significant snowfall for the foreseeable future.
The mild winter continues for now.

Once the snow moved out this morning, clouds have been
very slow to break. While some sunshine is finally shining
through early this afternoon, clouds are still tending to
dominate the sky. Regardless, the temperature has risen
nicely into the low 40s.

Much like yesterday, the wind has been on the light side.
Wind speeds have only averaged around 11mph for the day so
far. The peak gust, which occurred around 1am, was 20 mph.

Visibility has been limited all day ranging from 3-4 miles
early this morning in snow and fog, to only 30 miles early
this afternoon in general haziness.

The high so far today is 41F, which is 6 degrees above
the normal maximum of 35F. The low since midnight is 26F,
which is 7 degrees above the normal minimum of 19F.
