CLEAR SKIES AND COLDER TEMPERATURES….

Today the skies were mostly clear and the visibility was excellent
at 80 miles. The temperatures dropped this morning down to a low
of 14F shortly after 7:00 A.M. EST and rose to a maximum of 26F by
the 1:00 P.M. observation. These temperatures are a few degrees
below normal for this time of year. Yesterday, the temperatures
were still above normal, with a maximum of 42F and a minimum of 21F.
Dew points today were very low around 0F, and at 1:00 P.M., the
relative humidity was just 33%. The wind was also quite blustery
yesterday. A peak gust of 42 MPH out of the northwest at 4:14 P.M.
was recorded, and the average wind speed for the day was 16.4 MPH
out of the northwest. The winds have slowed since this morning. The
pressure has also been climbing over the past few days in addition
to the higher wind speeds.
