OVERCAST SKIES CONTINUE, CHILLY AND RAW….

Light snow began falling late yesterday afternoon and
continued through much of the evening hours accumulating
to 0.8 inches. Occasional very light snow and freezing
drizzle continue overnight into this morning bringing only
another trace of snow/glaze.

Even though the precipitation has ended, skies remain cloudy
into early this afternoon, however some breaks in the clouds
can be see off to the northwest through northeast. So perhaps
we’ll be able to manage a little sun later this afternoon.

The wind has been a non-event so far today with an average
speed since 7 A.M of only around 7 mph.

The highest temperature so far today is 35F, 1 degree above
the normal high of 35F. The low since midnight is 28F, 10
degrees above the normal minimum of 18F.

The year 2020 was 2nd warmest on record here at Blue Hill going
back to 1885. Here is a list of the rankings. Data below from
our Chief Scientist, Mike Iacono.

BHO Warmest Annual 24-Hour Adjusted Mean Temperature, deg F (1885-2020):

1) 51.7 in 2012
2) 51.3 in 2020

4) 51.0 in 2010
5) 50.9 in 1999
6) 50.8 in 1998
7) 50.6 in 2006
