INCREASING CLOUDS AHEAD OF THE NEXT SYSTEM; THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM…

The day started with a lot of low level cloud cover. These burned
off fairly quickly allowing for a decent amount of sunshine for a
time. However high clouds are now increasing across the area ahead
of our next storm system.

Temperatures have risen into the low 30s this afternoon, which with
light wind, doesn’t feel so bad out there. This is made even more
evident now with the sun angle getting higher in the sky.

As mentioned, the wind has been pretty light today. There was a
little bit of gustiness this morning, but even then it wasn’t really
anything to write home about. The peak gust for the day has only
been 21mph. The average speed for the day so far is around 8mph.

Visibility has been somewhat limited today due to general haziness.
Views have been between 40-50 miles all day.

The high so far today is 32F, which is 8 degrees below the normal
maximum of 40F. The low since midnight is 22F degrees, which is
equal to the normal minimum of 22F.
