Yesterday’s average temperature was 33F, 4 degrees above
the daily norm. This marks the end of the 27 day streak
dating back to January 25th, and the longest such
streak since 1989, and the second longest since 1950.

Today’s maximum temperature, 28F as of 1:00 AM EST, will
likely stay the 24 hours maximum as temperatures have
slid throughout today. Clearing skies and increased visibility
were present throughout this morning as well, as winds ramped
up in the up 30 MPH range. By the 1:00 PM EST observation
temperatures had fallen to 17F and climbed back up to 20F.
Snow for the season now totals 133.8 inches, placing
this season at Blue Hill firmly in third place on the
list of snowiest seasons. February 2015 is also
the snowiest February on record, as well as the
snowiest month on record. This past storm brings us even closer
to second place and continues to push our monthly record higher.
