CHILLY, YET FAIR WEATHER FOLLOWING SOME MORE SNOWFALL….

Snowfall from last night totaled 2.0 inches, which
worked out to 0.14 inches melted! Snow depth on the
summit has been 2 inches all day.

We observed rapidly changing conditions since the
7 A.M. observation, both in regard to visibility and
sky cover. Visibility increased from 8 miles this
morning to 80 miles by 1 P.M. Cloud cover went
from overcast to almost clear as the day went on.

Weather was chilly with temperatures holding below
30F. Wind was northerly with speeds around 15 mph
by noontime. This is very chilly as dew points dropped
into the low teens.

The high so far today is 28F, which is 13 degrees below
the normal maximum of 41F. The low since midnight is 21F,
which is 5 degrees below the normal minimum of 26F.
