EARLY MORNING CLOUDS AND FOG BURN OFF TO PARTIAL SUNSHINE;
WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS CONTINUE….

The day started with low clouds and fog as a rather humid
air mass is in place. The fog burned off by mid morning with
sunshine taking over. However, as the heating of the day
intensified, convective clouds began to grow and increase in
coverage into early this afternoon.

Temperatures were quick to rise with the morning sunshine,
through the 70s into the low 80s by early this afternoon.
Dew point values have generally been hanging in the mid 60’s
giving a somewhat sticky feel to the air today.

The wind was quite light this morning, even calm for a couple
of hours. But as the diurnal heating took place, some mixing
from aloft helped to increase the speed early this afternoon.
The average speed for the day so far is only around 4mph, but
it has been averaging closer to 10mph the past hour or two.
The peak gust so far today is 15mph, which occurred way back
around midnight, and again just after 12:30pm.

Visibility was quite limited this morning, around a 1/4 mile
for a time prior to sunrise thanks to the fog. But it has
improved to around 35 miles by early this afternoon due to
general haziness.

The maximum temperature so far today is 82F degrees, which is
3 degrees above the normal high of 79F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 64F degrees, which is 2 degrees above the
normal low of 62F.
