A CLEAR START TO THE DAY, BUILDING CONVECTIVE CLOUDS EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON….
The great weather continues with refreshingly low humidity levels
and very comfortable temperatures. Skies were clear to the start
the day, but cumulus clouds have developed with diurnal heating
doing it’s thing. Some cirrus clouds have been observed as well.
Temperatures started the day in the upper 50s, but have warmed
nicely into the mid to upper 70s early this afternoon. The dew
point has been holding in the mid 50s all day. This is just
splendid air for this time of year.
The wind was gusty overnight, but diminished during the course
of the morning, becoming light for a time. It has since picked
back up early this afternoon thanks to the atmosphere mixing air
down from aloft. The average speed for the day so far is around
10mph. The peak gust so far for the day is 29mph, which occurred
after the 1pm observation.
Visibility has been great, with a view of 60-70 miles all day!
The maximum temperature so far today is 77F, which is 4 degrees
below the normal high of 81F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 59F, which is 4 degrees below the normal low of 63F.
