INTERVALS OF SUNSHINE AND CLOUDS WITH COOLING TEMPERATURES….

The day started on the “warm” side with readings only dropping
into the upper 50s overnight. With partial sunshine this
morning, temperatures rose rapidly to 70F, but then the wind
shifted to an onshore direction and the temperature dropped
rapidly back to the upper 50s and low 60s. It was also a bit
humid this morning with the dew point in the mid to upper 50s,
however it quickly dropped into the mid-upper 40s following the
wind shift.

As mentioned, the sky has had varying amounts of cloud cover,
ranging from just high thin cirrus to a mid level overcast at
times. Some stratocumulus and cumulus have also been observed
for good measure.

The wind was generally light out of a northerly direction early
this morning, but shifted to the east-northeast and east during
the mid morning hours. The speed also increased with the shift
for a time with gusts reaching 20-25mph. The average speed for
the day so far is around 10mph, with a peak gust to this point
of 25mph.

Visibility was limited to around 30-35 miles early this morning,
but increased to around 60 miles when the dew point dropped
during mid morning.

The maximum temperature so far today is 70F degrees, which is
8 degrees above the normal high of 62F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 58F degrees, which is 15 degrees above the
normal low of 43F.
