ABUNDANT SUNSHINE AND COOLER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES TODAY….

Quite a sparkling day here on Blue Hill with plenty of bright
sunshine being observed. Only a few clouds have been seen today
off in the distance.

It is a bit chilly with readings running below normal for the
date. Temperatures have reached the mid 50s early this afternoon,
after starting the morning in the mid 30s. The dew point has
settled back into the teens, after starting the day in the upper
20s. This level of dry air does make the air feel quite a bit
cooler than it is.

The wind has been a bit brisk as well, mainly out of a north-
west to north-northwesterly direction. The average speed for
the day so far has been around 11mph. Gusts have been reaching
mainly between 20-25mph at times, further adding to the chilly
feel. The peak gust so far today is 29mph, which occurred after
8am this morning.

Visibility has been excellent today despite the high pollen
count (which is visible as a hazy layer in the air). The view
has been generally between 70-80 miles all day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 55F degrees, which is
4 degrees below the normal high of 59F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 34F degrees, which is 7 degrees below the
normal low of 41F.
