MORNING CLOUDS MOVE OUT AS SUNSHINE AND HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM
BRINGS ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES….
Yesterday’s rain brought in 0.42 inches which puts us at 1.83 inches
for the month so far. We are still 1.62 inches below normal for
September but 4.98 inches above for the year.
Temperatures have rebounded nicely with the reappearance of the sun
today. A high pressure system has been building to our north which
is helping us dry out nicely. Because of this we are well above the
normal temperatures for today. Dew points started off in the 60’s but
have since dropped into the mid 50’s which has given a very comfortable
feel in the air.
We started the day with a south-westerly flow that has shifted to a
north to north westerly flow. With the wind shift came a decrease in
intensity as well. The average speed for the day so far is around 5mph.
The peak gust for the day so far is 17mph, which occurred around 12:20pm
Visibility has been holding steady at a spectacular 70 miles all day.
It has been an absolutely beautiful viewing day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 76F, which is 8 degrees above
the normal high of 68F. The minimum temperature since midnight is 60F,
which is 9 degrees above the normal low of 51F.
