VISIBILITY, WARM TEMPS REBOUND WITH SUN AND CLEARING SKIES
THIS AFTERNOON…

Today started off overcast and on the cooler side, compared
to the previous few days. Once the sun was able to come through
we were able to make it to about 70F by the last observation.

Temperatures are still above average, though not as much. Dew
points are still in the lower 60’s as well, making for a muggy
kind of feel, especially once the sun came through in the early
afternoon hours. Paired with little to no wind, it has not felt
like a typical October day when we are generally much cooler.

The wind has remained light throughout the day, with only an
average speed so far around 7mph, mostly from the ESE and SSE. We
have had a few occurrences of calm conditions as well today. Our
peak gust so far occurred after midnight at about 16mph.

Visibility greatly improved after our first observation. This
morning we had about 15 miles of visibility and improved to about
50 miles for the remainder of the day.

The maximum temperature so far today has been 70F, which is 5
degrees above the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 60F, which is 12 degrees above the normal low
of 48F.
