WARM TEMPERATURES CONTINUE ON BLUE HILL TODAY WITH LIGHT
WIND AND PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES…

While not as warm as yesterday, it has still been an unseasonably
warm day today. We started the day with mostly cloudy skies and
as the day progressed, the clouds moved out and it was a stunning
non-fall type of day.

Dew points have stayed in the low 50’s which has given us a bit of
a humid feel, especially with the low wind and abundant sunshine.
It’s still been a great day overall.

Today the wind has been pretty low, with an average speed for the
day so far only around 9 mph. The peak gust so far is near 19 mph
which occurred just before 4:30am this morning.

We have had another day of hazy conditions, and as such we hovered
around the 30-40 mile mark for visibility throughout the early
afternoon hours.

The maximum temperature so far today is 74F, which is 17 degrees
above the normal high of 57F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 59F, which is 19 degrees above the normal low of 40F.

As we have passed the number 1 spot for the latest minimum
temperature below 40F three days ago, it is safe to assume that
2023 is going to end up ranking first for the latest temperature
below 40.

Here are the current rankings as compiled by our Chief Scientist,
Mike Iacono.

BHO Latest First Minimum Temperature Below 40 deg F (1885-2023):

1) 24 October 2013 (36F)
24 October 2021 (37F)
3) 22 October 1955 (34F)
4) 21 October 2005 (39F)
5) 20 October 1960 (38F)
