Today was cooler in the morning hours, but reached the low
60’s by the 1 P.M. observation. Visibility was 70 miles, and
skies were clear for the most part. Wind was southwesterly
with speeds of 10 mph on average, gusting to 15 mph every
now and then.

Weather conditions were fair, with the dew point
holding in the mid 30’s. The drought monitor is
showing significant improvement, with many areas
south and west of Boston being in the “abnormally
dry” category. Northern Massachusetts and the Boston
Area are the only ones with a moderate drought.

The high so far today is 63F, which is 4 degrees above the
normal maximum of 59F. The low since midnight is 43F,
which is a degree above the normal low of 42F.
