UNSEASONABLE WARMTH CONTINUES….
Today featured another above average day in the temp department.
The high so far peaking in the low-70s. Looking at the other end
of things, the overnight low barely broke the 60F mark dipping to
just 59F which is actually a mere 2F lower than the normal daily
high! We can thank analogously moist dew points in the mid to
upper-50s of late. In fact, the wind this afternoon is veering to
the southwest now helping to usher in DPs into the low-60s! Once
we do finally experience normal dew points and air temperatures,
it will feel especially chilly!
While the previous 2 days contained clear, sunny skies, clouds
have been introduced into the picture today. The cloud deck has
been predominantly high and thin for the better portion of the day,
so a good percentage of solar insolation is making its way to the
surface helping to fuel those temps.
Visibility has been the weak point here averaging about 35 miles.
Winds are noticeably light, however, with a mean thus far of 6 MPH.
The high so far today is 74F, 13F degrees above the normal max of
61F. The low since midnight is 59F, 15 degrees above the normal
low of 44F.
