CLEAR SKIES, PLENTY OF SUNSHINE WITH LIGHT AND VARIABLE WIND….
Today started out much the same as yesterday, with mostly clear
skies and a chill in the air. We have had plenty of brilliant
sunshine all day and because it’s been dry the past couple of
days we have gained a bit of warmth today, though still coming
just shy of our normal highs for the day so far.
Temperatures dipped into the upper 30s during the early morning
hours here, but thankfully rebounded quickly with all day sunshine.
At 7am we were at 46F and by 1pm had hit 60F which was warmer than
yesterday. Dry, cool air has still been the theme, but without the
gusty wind it has been much more tolerable for outdoor activities.
Winds have been light and variable for much of the day, with
directions out of the east in the morning to a more southwesterly
flow by the early afternoon. The average speed for the day so far
is only around 8 mph. The peak gust for the day so far has been
18 mph, and occurred just after the 1pm observation.
Visibility has been excellent for yet another day with 80 mile
views.
The maximum temperature so far today is 60F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 63F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 38F degrees, which is 8 degrees below the
normal low of 46F.
