BREEZY CONDITIONS AND BRIGHT SUNSHINE ABOUND ON BLUE HILL TODAY…
This morning was a bit warmer than yesterday and started off with
light wind and mostly clear skies. By mid morning, we had some
increasing cloudiness and the wind speed began to increase. Most
of the clouds had moved on by the final observation for the day
and there was plenty of bright sunshine to bring some warmth and
a happy start to the weekend. Temperatures have remained near our
average for this time of year.
The wind has been fairly productive today, with the majority of
the breezy conditions starting late this morning and continuing
through the last daily observation time. The average speed so far
for the day is around 12mph. The current peak gust is about 31mph,
which occurred during the 10am hour.
Despite the comfortable dew points and crisp air, the maximum
visibility has only reached around 40 miles.
The maximum temperature so far today is 55F, which is the normal
high for today’s date. The minimum temperature since midnight is 36F,
which is 2 degrees below the normal low of 38F.
