PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, BREEZY, AND OVERALL A SPECTACULAR DAY
AT GREAT BLUE HILL TODAY…

It has been an absolutely beautiful day on the hill, with all
day sunshine, clear skies, and a few cumulus and cirrus clouds
around. With seasonal temperatures and breezy conditions it is a
bit on the chilly side, however, it’s still a great day to soak
up the sunshine!

Temperatures started in the upper 30’s and by the afternoon we had
hit our average high of 47F by noontime. Dew points started in the
low 30’s and have decreased to the low 20’s. The air feels very dry
out there.

Winds have been pretty consistent today and have slightly increased
since the afternoon. Our average for the day so far has been around
11 mph and the current peak gust of 27 mph occurred shortly before
the 1pm observation.

Visibility started off with about 40 miles of visibility and
improved quite nicely to 80 miles at the 1pm observation. The
general decrease in dew point and the clear skies were responsible
for the beautiful views this afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 47F, which is the normal
high for the day. The minimum temperature since midnight is 37F,
which is 6 degrees above the normal low of 31F.
