MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

FOLLOWING YESTERDAY’S NEAR RECORD WARTH, IT’S STRAIGHT BACK
TO THE CHILL…

Main story here is the dramatic change in temperature over
the past 24-hours. At the 7 AM observation yesterday, we saw
the mercury begin at 54F coinciding with a dew point of 52F!
The early afternoon featured a near-recording setting high of
69F. This will go down as the 3rd warmest day for this date
falling just shy of the all-time max of 72F set in 1963.

Just after midnight today, a cold front swiped through the
area flipping winds from the SW to WNW. The mercury took
a tumble to 37F by sunrise. For those in central and eastern
MA who hoped to catch the lunar eclipse, the frontal passage
obscured most of the action. If eager for another opportunity,
the next occurance is just 6 months away, so mark your calendars
for May 15, 2022!

As for the daytime hours, we are seeing mostly sunny skies with
improving visibility. The wind has escalated peaking at 42 MPH
with an average now at 15 MPH.

The high so far today is 51F (set at midnight), 2 degrees above the
normal max of 49F. The low since midnight is 37F, 4 degrees above
the normal low of 33F.
