TEMPERATURES REBOUND, MORE DRY AIR DOMINATING THE
REGION TODAY…

Today we have finally seen the 50’s again (since Monday) and it
almost felt as warm if it wasn’t for the northwesterly flow giving
us a reminder that we are in mid November! All in all though, it
has been a pleasant day with lower winds and plenty of sunshine.

This morning was much like the rest of the week with an overnight
low around 27F. As we are in between frontal systems we were able
to enjoy more seasonal temperatures. The mercury has made it to
the mid 50’s and with the sunshine it’s been a bit of a reprieve
from the chillier days we had earlier this week.

The wind has been mostly on the light side for much of the day, but
has started to pick up in the past hour or so. The average speed for
the day so far is around 11mph and winds have been predominantly out
of the northwest. The peak gust for the day is around 22mph, which
occurred right at the 1pm observation.

Thanks to our super low dew points (below 20F all day!) visibility
has been holding at around 80 miles all day, so it’s been yet another
day with a spectacular view!

The maximum temperature for today since midnight is 56 degrees, which
is 6 degrees above the normal high of 50F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 27F degrees, which is 7 degrees below the normal
low of 34F degrees.
