OVERCAST, COOL, AND BREEZY TODAY AT GREAT BLUE HILL…
The morning started off cool and breezy and continued that way
for the remainder of the afternoon. Although our temperatures
were warmer than yesterday, it hasn’t felt that way with the
wind gusts.
Temperatures have remained below normal today, not quite making
it to 50F by the last daily observation. The dew points have
hovered in the mid 30’s which adding to the breeze has given
quite a raw feel to the air.
Today has been overall breezy with an average of about 12 mph so
far. The winds have shifted between West and WSW for most of the
day. Our peak gust recorded so far has been about 23 mph which
occurred before 1am.
Visibility started with about 30 miles for most of the morning and
improved to around 60 miles by the afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 48F, which is 4 degrees
below the normal high of 52F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 38F, which is 2 degrees above the normal low of 36F.
