A BEAUTIFUL END TO THE MONTH OF MAY WITH LOTS OF
SUNSHINE AND LOWER DEW POINTS….

Today has been one of the top days this year so far, with
slightly above seasonal temperatures and bright sunshine
but without the humidity. It has been an excellent day for
anything outdoors as the dew points are in a comfortable
range.

Yesterday’s rain set a record for us on the hill with 1.41″
of total rainfall for the day. This puts us over 2″ for the
month and a staggering +8″ for the year. It has been a wet
year, that’s for sure!

The wind has been light today with an average of about 9 mph.
Westerly flow has brought in dry air which has given us much
reprieve from the sticky conditions we were experiencing earlier
this week. Winds have gradually picked up through the late
morning and early afternoon. The peak gust so far for the day
occurred just before 1pm EST at about 23 mph.

Visibility has been in the 40-50 mile range throughout the day,
with the better visibility occurring in the early morning hours.

The maximum temperature so far today is 74F degrees, which is
3 degrees above the normal high of 71F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 48F degrees, which is 5 degrees below the
normal low of 53F.
