BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

FRIDAY MAY 28, 2021
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
SUNRISE: 0413E
SUNSET:  1910E

BRIGHT OVERCAST THROUGH THE MORNING, CLOUDS
THICKEN INTO THE AFTERNOON AHEAD OF OUR NEXT
STORM…

Sunshine was plentiful early in the morning. However,
temperatures were weak to respond as clouds quickly
advanced from the west. There have been splashes
of sun here and there, but skies are primarily
overcast. Temperatures have only reached the upper-50s
with winds averaging 8 MPH since 7AM.

Visibility began at 80 miles slipping to 65 miles
ahead of tonight’s approaching storm. Guidance indicates
a good soaking on the way tonight through the holiday
weekend. While the timing for the precipitation is not
ideal, here at Blue Hill our annual deficit is currently
-4.97″…we can certainly use the water!

The high so far today is 58F, which is 12 degrees below
the normal high of 70F. The low since midnight is 50F,
which is 1 degree below the daily normal low of 51F.
