OVERCAST CONDITIONS CLEAR MID MORNING AND BRINGS PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES TO BLUE HILL….
We remained dry on Blue Hill overnight and during the morning
as some rain moved through the area. Although we were spared any
precipitation, the overcast skies kept the temperatures cooler
than normal, and especially cooler than the previous days. By
mid morning, the sun made its long awaited appearance and things
started to finally warm. A brief clearing during the late morning
was nice before increasing clouds came through from the west.
The temperature has remained slightly below normal today. This
is partly due to the wind change late yesterday afternoon which
brought in cooler air. Dew points hovered in the upper 30’s to
low 40’s.
Wind has been quite low today with a recent bit of activity in
the last couple of hours. Overall though, it’s been a low-steady
kind of day with an average of just over 8 mph. The peak gust
so far was around 25 mph and occurred just before noon.
Visibility has been relatively steady with about 50-60 miles
throughout the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 56F degrees, which is
9 degrees below the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 45F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the
normal low of 47F.
