BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS BRING 0.76 INCHES OVERNIGHT,
TEMPS REACH A MAXIMUM OF 54F

Dense fog, which dissipated yesterday morning, allowed
the sun to shine for a time yesterday afternoon, aiding
in more snow melt across the summit. Fog and rain showers
entered the region by late afternoon yesterday, with the
heaviest downpours coming between 4:00 and 5:00 PM EST
here at the station. By 7:00 PM EST a maximum temperature
of 54F was reached, before temperatures dipped into the mid
30’s by morning.

Light rain showers ended came to an end after 8:00 AM EST,
with fog slowly lifting. By the 1:00 PM EST observation only
one light and brief shower had brought 0.01 inches of rain
by 10:00 AM, and another trace before 1:00 PM. Temperatures
had barely moved, maxing out at 39F.
