WARMER AND MORE HUMID WITH A THUNDER SHOWER PASSING
BY IN THE AFTERNOON….
Visibility was limited to 40 miles at most due to either
haze or the thunder showers that passed by in the early
afternoon. The heaviest rainfall was observed 10 minutes
after the 1 P.M. observation, leaving approximately 0.20 inches in
the gauge; total. Wind also jumped to 35 mph during that time.
Lightning was heard, but not seen by the observer.
Skies have otherwise been mostly cloudy with wind speeds below
10 mph. Dew points have been in the upper 60’s, making the
day feel much more “hot and humid” in comparison to those prior.
The high so far today is 82F, which is 6 degrees above
the normal maximum of 76F. The low since midnight is 64F,
which 6 degrees above the normal minimum of 58F.
