OVERNIGHT STORMS GIVES WAY TO PARTIAL CLEARING OF SKIES
THIS AM…
Storms from overnight produced a little over 0.30 inches of
precipitation and once they moved out we had a little bit of sun
this morning. By the 10E observation, however, clouds moved in
fairly quickly and we remained overcast for most of the day
while showers and light rain moved in around the area. As of our
13E we have not received any additional precipitation.
Temperatures held steady in the low to mid 70s, with a little dip
in the high in the late morning due to a passing front. Dew points
remained in the upper 60s to low 70s making for a sticky and humid
feel even with a light breeze.
The wind was fairly active yesterday evening but today has remained
low with an average about 8mph. Our highest gust for the day so far
has been 24mph which was recorded at 3:30am.
Visibility started out at 50 miles and steadily declined throughout
the morning and afternoon to about 40 miles by the last observation.
Humid conditions and increasing clouds continue to limit visibility.
The maximum temperature so far today is 77F, this is 5 degrees
below the normal high of 82F. The minimum since midnight is 65F,
which is 1 degree below the normal low of 64F.
