FOGGY AND RAINY, DEVELOPING INTO SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON….

Today we observed overcast skies once again with an overnight
rain total of 0.18 inches. An additional 0.05 inches fell
since the 7 A.M. observation. Ice pellets also fell for
a short time around 8 A.M.

The wind is light today, shifting from northeast to northwest.
The gust is only around 18 mph. A significant temperature drop
has been seen since the shift, and a light snow is falling.

Visibility has of course been limited by fog, generally
a 1/16th mile most of the day.

The high so far today is 35F, which is the same as the
normal maximum. The low since midnight is 31F, which
is 11 degrees above the normal minimum of 20F.

Here are some interesting annual rankings for 2022 compiled
by our Chief Scientist, Mike Iacono. In essence the year
2022 was warm, dry, and fairly sunny here at Blue Hill!
