BRIGHT SUNSHINE AND WARMER TEMPERATURES ON TOP OF GREAT BLUE
HILL TODAY….

This morning we started with mostly clear skies and a gorgeous
orange-red sunrise. There were a few altocumulus clouds lingering
around the edges of the horizon this morning and by the afternoon
a few more clouds have moved in. Overall though, it’s been a
beautiful day to soak in the sunshine and enjoy the warmer temps.

The temperature this morning was nearly at our normal high for
this time of year, and has continued to rise with the fair weather
conditions of bright sunshine and mostly clear skies. By the 1pm
observation we were at 45F. Dew points have been around the 30F
mark for most of the morning and afternoon, giving us an overall
comfortable feel.

The wind started off pretty steady during the overnight and early
morning hours and then slowed considerably once the wind shifted
from the WSW to NW direction. The average speed for the day so far
is around 11 mph, mostly due to the active overnight winds. The
peak gust so far was around 23 mph, which occurred just after 6am
this morning.

We started the day off with about 40 miles of visibility and
improved to 70 miles by the early afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 46F degrees, this is 11
degrees above the normal high of 35F. The minimum temperature
so far since midnight is 33F degrees, this is 14 degrees above
the normal low of 19F.
