MORNING SUNSHINE FADES AWAY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL…
A busy northwest wind yesterday afternoon began ushering
in a reinforcing shot of arctic air. We bottomed out at 8
degrees this morning and have only reached the mid-20s so
far today. Winds have slowly backed off as the afternoon
progresses. Wind chill values are hanging out in the
upper single digits and low teens.
Sunshine was in good abundance during the morning, though
mid and high level clouds have filtered in here early this
afternoon. As of 2PM, mostly cloudy skies are now in charge.
Visibility is excellent with solid views of Mount Monadnock in
southwestern New Hampshire.
The high so far today is 25F, 11 degrees below the daily
average max of 36F. The low since midnight is 8F, 10 degrees
below the normal minimum of 18F.
