OVERNIGHT SNOW WITH THUNDER AND INCREASING WIND

Yesterday’s storm left us with 0.87 ins of precipitation and 1.8 ins. of snow.
By the 7:00 A.M. EST observation, the sky was clear with few clouds. The
temperature warmed from a low of 30F this morning to a high of 36 by 1:00 P.M.
Winds increased today with a peak gust of 37 before 1:00 P.M.

There was a quick burst of snow at Blue Hill around 1:45 P.M. This didn’t leave
us with anything measurable, but it did bring us a new peak gust of 46 MPH. The
snow and clouds cleared from above the observatory within minutes.
