CLOUDS, DRIZZLE, AND FOG ARE KEEPING IT DREARY ON BLUE HILL TODAY….
While the steadier and heavier rainfall moved out of the area
yesterday afternoon, persistent drizzle, and at times a light
rain continues to the plague the area today. Storm total rainfall
through 7am this morning was 0.76″. An additional 0.04″ has
fallen since 7am, again, mainly in the form of drizzle and very
light rain.
Temperatures have been stuck in the upper 30s to low 40s all day.
While it is “chilly” due to the damp conditions, it is still
slightly above normal for this time of year.
The wind has been quite light today, even going calm for a time
during the mid morning hours. The average speed for the day is
only around 5mph. The peak gust so far today is 17mph, which
occurred just after midnight.
Visibility had been limited to between 1/16 and 1/4 all morning,
but has improved to around 5 miles early this afternoon as the
cloud level has risen a bit.
The maximum temperature so far today is 42F degrees, this is 5
degrees above the normal high of 37F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 38F degrees, this is 17 degrees above the normal low
of 21F.
