WARMER TEMPERATURES MOVE IN WITH INCREASING CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON…

Happy first day of meteorological winter! Our first day of December
started off with mostly clear skies and above average temperatures. By
late morning an increase of clouds moved through the area, but so far
we have stayed dry.

Temperatures have been in the 40’s for much of the day and nearing
around 50F by the last daily observation. Dew points have been a bit
higher than yesterday, hovering around the upper 30’s.

The wind started out rather breezy this morning and as the day
progressed it slowly declined.The average speed has been around 14 mph.
The peak gust so far is around 27mph which occurred before 4 am.

Hazy conditions continue into today which has impacted our visibility.
The visibility has been in the 30-40 mile range.

The maximum temperature so far today is 50F degrees, which is 5 degrees
above the normal high of 45F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 38F, which is 9 degrees above the normal low of 29F.
