SHORT-LIVED SUNSHINE THIS MORNING AS CLOUDS RETURN…

As a result of yesterday’s storm stalling out to our northeast over
the Gulf of Maine, conditions have remained cool and dreary today.
Despite this, we did manage a bit of sunshine this morning,
which was much appreciated! And for those wondering, no, I unfortunately
did not feel this morning’s earthquake in northern NJ from up here.

As mentioned before, temperatures have stayed on the cool side today,
with readings rising from just below freezing this morning to the low
40s by late morning. The dew point has been hovering in the low 30s all
day.

Winds have certainly slowed since yesterday, with our average speed so
far being 13mph, primarily out of the west-northwest. The peak gust to
this point is around 29mph, occurring just after 9am.

Visibility has held steady at 50 miles all day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 43F degrees, which is 9
degrees below the normal high of 52F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 31F degrees, which is 3 degrees below the normal low of
34F.
