A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT BLUE HILL TODAY WITH CLEAR SKIES AND
OVERALL LOWER WIND….
What a wonderful way to welcome the weekend with plenty of
sunshine and clear skies! While we are still below normal
temperatures, it feels so much nicer out there today, thanks
in part to the lower wind speeds and a slight bump in dew point
values.
Temperatures remain below normal once again, though not as cold
as yesterday. We started in the low 40’s early this morning and
have rebounded quite nicely to the low 50’s. Dew Points were in
the mid 30’s and have dropped to the mid 20’s this afternoon.
The wind has been light today with the exception of a wind gust
early this morning. Our average for the day is only about 9 mph
so far and our current peak gust is around 22 mph, which occurred
around 8:30am.
Visibility has been hovering around 60-70 miles today, thanks to
the lingering dry air mass over the region keeping the dew points
low. There is a bit of haziness from the pollen, however it has
not impacted the overall visibility.
The maximum temperature so far today is 54F degrees, which is
7 degrees below the normal high of 61F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 32F degrees, which is 10 degrees below the
normal low of 42F.
