FREEZING (32F) VERY EARLY THIS MORNING HERE AT SUMMIT
WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS CONTINUE GUSTY TODAY
TEMPERATURE STRUGGLING THROUGH THE 40’S
This morning’s low temperature of 31.5F (32F) was the first freezing
reading since 32F last occurred on April 9. Also, this freezing reading
of 32F was 4 days past the average date for late season freeze which is
April 20. The record low for this date is 22F in 1930.
Cold late April winds gusting to 30 to 35 MPH from the west and
northwest today.
Still awaiting our first 70-degree reading of the year; could rank
among the top ten latest I would think.
