A GLOOMY DAY FOLLOWING A HEALTHY OVERNIGHT SOAKING….

An unusually mild night was accompanied by downpours in the
pre-dawn hours. We saw a total of 0.65″ fall among 2 squall
lines. More precip was recorded after the 7am observation when
a third round of precip rolled through. Since then, clouds have
been stubborn though a few breaks in the overcast are occurring.

After peaking yesterday at 57 MPH, winds have substantially eased.
In fact, following that 2nd line of storms, winds shifted to the NW
and were light for a time between 5a-7a. Visibility escalated rapidly
thereafter capping off at 75 miles before sinking to 65 miles in the
early afternoon.

The high so far today is 57F, which is 7 degrees above the
normal maximum of 50F. The low since midnight is 50F, which is
18 degrees above the normal minimum of 32F.
