TEMP DROPS TO A STICKY AND WARM 59F
The windiest calendar day in all of this year occurred
Thursday with winds averaging 27.3 MPH mostly from the S to
SSW from midnight to midnight. Winds from 1:00-2:00 PM EST
yesterday afternoon averaged 38 MPH for the entire hour, with
a fastest mile wind speed of 43 MPH clocked on four
separate occasions. Our peak gust for the day was 63 MPH from
the S at 11:52 AM EST.
Overnight humidity was on the rise as showers begin to enter
the region. Temperatures only managed to drop to 59F just shortly
after 7:00 PM EST last night, with light rain showers dropping
0.03 inches of rain just after midnight this morning.
By today’s 1:00 PM EST observation skies were still overcast
with plenty of thin fog limiting visibility to just 20 miles in
all directions. A maximum temperature of 64F had been recorded
so far today.
