Earth Day 2023 – Join Our “Climb for Climate” on April 22nd
Blue Hill Observatory’s “Climb for Climate” 2023 challenge with support from Trillium Brewing Company will take place again this year on Earth Day—this Saturday—April 22, 2023 from 12pm to 4pm.
Together Blue Hill Observatory and Trillium invite the Greater Boston community to show their support for the environment by climbing Great Blue Hill to the Observatory where climbers will tap a LED counter—joining a tally of total climbers. Our goal is to encourage as many climbers as possible, so we are offering exciting incentives.
1. “Climb for Climate” participants will receive a ticket (at the Observatory) to bring to Trillium’s home garden location at 100 Royall Street for entry in a drawing (Trillium is just 1.1 miles from the base of Great Blue Hill). Trillium is offering a series of awesome prizes including gift cards, merchandise, and apparel. The drawing will take place on Monday, April 24th and the winners will be contacted by Trillium.
2. For our young climbers (and older ones, too) Trillium and Blue Hill Observatory will host kite making and flying activities with Blue Hill Observatory’s staff and volunteers on the beautiful open field at Trillium. Kite activities at Trillium will take place on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm. Kites will be available for purchase at a very low fee.
As Greater Boston works toward building a sustainable future for all, we hope you will join us for these fun activities celebrating Earth Day.
